A decrease in concession prices will relieve wallets of fans and students this fall, according to a press release by the Mississippi State University Athletic Department.
“We value the feedback of our Bulldog family, and reducing the price of concessions has been something I have been very excited about since becoming Director of Athletics,” said MSU athletic director John Cohen. “Providing our fans and families with more affordable food and beverage options is extremely important.”
Cohen added a thanks to Aramark for working with MSU in lowering their concession prices to better the fan experience. The stadium will drop the cost to $3 for a 22 ounce-soda and $4 for a 44-ounce soda. Other price drops include bottled waters, which have been cut in half to $2 per bottle. Hot dogs, nacho trays and soft pretzels are now $2 as well.
“As we work with athletics and our MSU dining partner Aramark to create a more fan and family-friendly game day experience for our Bulldog family, I believe this new comprehensive plan for concessions is a key element to increasing value for our fans,” said MSU President Mark Keenum. “High quality refreshments, more sensible pricing, faster service and new policies that address items of input from our fan base are a winning combination for a better game day experience.”
Keenum also congratulated the athletic department and Aramark for their innovation and teamwork to create the new price plan. These prices will be at every home sporting venue for this athletic year, as one of the many game day experience enhancements the athletic department is implementing.
