Letter to the Editor: Jasmine Sherman, A Call to Action: Supporting the Vision of Presidential Candidate Jasmine Sherman

Jasmine Sherman is a presidential candidate who has dedicated their career to advocating for at-risk and vulnerable communities. Sherman is the first queer Black American to run for president and uses they/them pronouns.
Their campaign is centered on implementing meaningful policy changes that will benefit all Americans, including universal basic income, universal health care with prescription coverage, tax reform, a revamping of the education system and guaranteed housing.
Additionally, Sherman plans to remove barriers for individuals with disabilities, make gun ownership accessible with proper training, and ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child. These proposals aim to improve the standard of living for all Americans and signal a departure from the typical candidates we have seen in the past.
