    Monday’s disturbance inhibited school work

I would like to state my opinion on the noise problem that occurred on Sunday, Nov. 3.
I live in the Kappa Alpha house and as a result of the noise coming from Davis Wade Stadium, I was unable to accomplish any studying or anything else that would require some form of concentration. Beginning around 6 p.m. Sunday, either a band or a recording was played over the loud speakers at an unacceptable volume.
As a former athletic trainer for the football team I am aware that they sometimes use the loud speakers during practice to simulate crowd noise.
However, a Sunday evening is not the time to do such a thing. At 9 p.m. the music was still playing.
I agree that the football team needs to practice, but this is ridiculous.
If playing music at Thursday “late nights” on Fraternity Row is unacceptable, then the current disturbance should not occur either.
Jeremiah Jones is a sophomore educational psychology major.
