For the first time in school history, the Bulldogs’ and Lady Bulldogs’ indoor track teams are both ranked in the Trackwire 25 power rankings.
The men’s team held steady at No. 4 for the second straight week. SEC foes Arkansas, South Carolina and LSU are the top three teams, respectively.
The women’s team earned its first ever ranking for an indoor team, coming in 23rd on the list. State is tied with Rice, Jacksonville and Washington State at No. 23.
The Lady Bulldogs are one of seven Southeastern Conference teams in the Top 25, with LSU prevailing in the top spot. MSU’s men are one of 10 teams from the SEC in the top 25.
State’s next meet is the SEC Indoor Championships, held in Gainesville, Fla., March 1-2.
