Reflector: Lee and Kirk, what’s it like being on a video game? Lee Corso: (laughing) I’ve never seen the game, but I’ve seen the cover.
Kirk Herbstreit: For me, I can retire now. It’s the peak of my career. The fact that I’m in the game is pretty cool.
Reflector: What’s your favorite venue?
KH: I would say Knoxville, Tenn.
LC: I would take Knoxville, only at night, though.
Dr. Jerry Punch: Tennessee.
Chris Fowler: I like Texas A&M.
Reflector: What’s your favorite stadium?
CF: Rose Bowl.
KH: Tennessee.
LC: Tennessee.
JP: I like the beauty of being in BYU. Cougar Stadium at Provo is beautiful.
Reflector: Favorite game?
LC: Army vs. Navy.
KH: Ohio State vs. Michigan.
Reflector: I knew that was coming. (Editor’s note: Herbstreit played quarterback at Ohio State.)
JP: I’ve always enjoyed Texas and Texas A&M.
CF: The Iron Bowl, Auburn vs. Alabama.
Reflector: Who has the craziest fans?
KH: (laughing) Scott Field during the Egg Bowl. Really, I have a quick answer and it has three letters–S-E-C. I don’t think you can really pick one school.
LC: Wisconsin. Stadium sits right by that fraternity house.
JP: I can’t pick one, but I would have to say Clemson.
CF: Florida or LSU is pretty hard to match, I would say.
Reflector: Which is more powerful? The “Red Sea” at Nebraska or the orange at Tennessee?
LC: The orange at Tennessee.
CF: When Nebraska had the dominating defense, the “Red Sea” was more intimidating, but now I would have to say the orange.
JP: The orange.
LC: Hey, could you guys hurry up? It’s time to go to Little Dooey!
Reflector: What college town has the best food? LC: Starkville!
CF: I’m not a big barbeque guy; I would say Austin, Texas
KH: Are you kidding me?! Starkville by far.
Reflector: Who has the best fight song?
KH: “Rocky Top.”
LC: Fighting Irish.
CF: The Georgia Tech fight song is underrated. Ramblin’ Wreck.
JP: “The Eyes of Texas and the Aggie War Hymn” are my favorite.
CF: You know, Lee is always whistling the Alabama fight song. (Kirk and Lee whistle the tune to “Yea Alabama.”)
Reflector: What do you think about the cowbell rule?
LC: The more the merrier.
JP: We should have more of that. It rates right up there with the celebration penalty; it takes the emotion out of the game.
Reflector: So you don’t like the rule?
KH: Hate the rule.
