Mississippi State University students and Starkville residents can participate in Delta Gamma sorority’s Seventh Annual Anchor Week. Anchor Week serves as Delta Gamma’s main philanthropic fund-raising event. Proceeds from this year’s Anchor Week will help fund the Dorothy Garrett Martin Lectureship in Ethics and Values.
Activities planned for Anchor Week include a flag football tournament, a lasagna dinner, T-shirt sales and a Most Beautiful Eyes contest.
The flag football tournament will begin Wednesday afternoon and conclude with the championship games Friday at 5 p.m. All games will take place on the new intramural fields.
The lasagna dinner will take place Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Delta Gamma house. To-go plates will be available.
The Most Beautiful Eyes contest will take place all week in front of the Colvard Student Union. Anyone may cast a vote for his or her favorite contestant by making a donation.
To purchase lasagna dinner tickets or a T-shirt marking Anchor Week, contact any Delta Gamma or call 325-6380. Those who would like to support Anchor Week without actively participating may mail donations to PO Box 2103, Mississippi State, MS 39762.
