Under coach Sylvester Croom the Bulldogs have achieved the following:
1. They are the worse team in the SEC for the third year in a row and one of the weakest teams in the United States.
2. They can’t play offense, and they can’t play defense.
Through six games this season they have not scored a single point in the first quarter, indicating they are not even ready to play. The offensive line is allowing three sacks a game, which makes it nearly impossible for the quarterback to function and more likely that he will be injured. It’s no wonder the offense has scored the fewest points in the SEC.
The defense is equally as bad as the offense, allowing the most points in the SEC.
3. This is far worse than the other two. Eight of Croom’s players have been arrested during the last six months, showing he has no discipline. This is more embarrassing to MSU than the fact that we can’t compete on the football field.
While other teams thrive with freshmen and sophomore players, the Bulldog youngsters, who are far more talented than Tulane and Maine players, are getting blown off the field by nearly every team they play and are showing no signs of improvement under Croom.
Croom is the reason MSU football is at an all-time low, and game attendance is dropping. MSU needs a change now, not years from now when his highly unusual contract through ’09 and verbal agreement through ’11 runs out.
