    Bluegrass music comes to Starkville

    The East Central Mississippi Bluegrass Festival has come to the covered K Arena outside of Starkville for today and Saturday. The Lafayette County Ramblers, Book Creek, Harmony & Grits and The Vern Brothers will perform Friday and Saturday.
    The Larry Wallace Band and Journey’s End will play Saturday only.
    The gates open today at 4:30 p.m., and the music will start at 6:30 p.m. Saturday gates open at 10:30 a.m. and the music will start at noon.
    Children under the age of 12 will receive free admission. Regular admission is $7, on Saturday it is $9, and for both days it is $15.
    Do not bring pets or alcohol. RV’s are permitted but there are no facilities for them. Do not bring coolers inside the arena. Lawn chairs and camping equipment is permitted along with outside jamming.
