The Mississippi State University Police Department is on the lookout for three people involved in a strong-arm robbery that occurred Monday night.
According to a Maroon Alert issued by the university, a female MSU student reported being assaulted in the vicinity of Sorority Row at approximately 8:30 p.m. The police issued a be-on-the-lookout alert after the student provided descriptions of the assailants, two black males and one black female, and their vehicle. The alert also states that the incident began off campus.
An MSU Police Department official said the department would not release descriptions of the suspects at the time of publication because the incident is currently under investigation.
“We remind students to be conscious of their surroundings, to lock the doors of vehicles when traveling on campus and to report suspicious circumstances to the MSU Police Department,” Dean of Students Mike White said in the alert.
