The Mississippi State Bulldogs will make their first bowl game appearance since 2000 when they take on Central Florida Dec. 29. The Bulldogs (7-5, 4-4 SEC) accepted a bid Sunday to play the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. This marks Coach Sylvester Croom’s first bowl appearance.
Central Florida (10-3) comes to Memphis after defeating Tulsa 44-25, clenching the Conference USA championship title. This is the Knights’ first appearance in the Liberty Bowl.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 29. Additionally, the game will be carried on ESPN and ESPN HD.
