IHL Board President L. Stacy Davidson announced Friday the members of the Board Search Committee for Mississippi State University, according to a release on the organization’s Web site.Members include Committee Chair Scott Ross, existing board member and West Point mayor; Ed Blakeslee of Gulfport; Aubrey Patterson, board member and BancorpSouth CEO; Robin Robinson of Laurel and C.D. Smith of Meridian.
The Mississippi State Board Search Committee and IHL Commissioner Tom Meredith will meet with various MSU constituency groups April 28 on the Starkville campus to discuss various traits those groups want in the university’s next president.
Those traits received will be used to draft a job description for the position.
Mississippi State’s interim president, Vance Watson, took office April 1.
