Possible Mississippi State University employee pronounced dead

A Mississippi State University employee passed away in a car accident earlier today.
Greg Merchant, Lowndes County Coroner, said he believes Deborah Hamilton worked at the Laundromat at MSU.
“She was driving her vehicle and exited off of Highway 82. (She) was crossing the southbound lane of 45 when she was struck on the driver’s side,” he said.
Hamilton was pronounced dead on the scene.
Merchant said Hamilton’s daughter was with her in the accident and sustained serious injuries.
“The family is at the hospital with the daughter. They are totally devastated,” he said.
