Homecoming forms of intent due Sept. 8

Selections for this year’s Mississippi State University homecoming maids are taking a different approach to how maids are picked for homecoming court. Homecoming Maids will be selected through an interview-only selection process in which freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors with a GPA greater than 2.5 are allowed to apply.
Elections for homecoming queen will take Sept. 29. Seniors with a GPA greater than 2.5 can apply.
Candidates for Mr. and Miss MSU will be narrowed down via an interview process as well. Candidates selected to move on will be placed on a ballot for Sept. 29 elections. Seniors with a GPA above last semester’s average GPA are also able to apply.
Forms of intent can be found at thestudentassociation.com and are due Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. in the Colvard Student Union Suite 314. A resume and self-portrait are required submissions for all applicants. A cover letter is required for Mr. and Miss MSU. Interview times will be announced at a later date.
