Mississippi State University is shifting to remote operations on Monday due to severe winter weather expected to begin over the weekend, the university announced on Friday.
“Students and employees should be mindful that road conditions will vary. It may not be advisable for those traveling, particularly from northern or western directions, to return to campus by the time the university may be able to resume normal operations, depending on weather patterns and conditions,” an MSU press release read.
MSU is instructing students to check their email and Canvas for class information.
MSU announced that dining services will consolidate into Perry Food Hall. The 24-hour Maroon Markets will remain open, as will the Hathorn POD.
The Sanderson Center, the Longest Student Health Center and the Mitchell Memorial Library will also be closed on Monday.
