According to an arrest and booking report by the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), Mississippi State University football player Reggie Todd was arrested Tuesday on a simple assault charge.
Todd, a 21-year-old sophomore wide receiver, was bonded out.
The Clarion-Ledger reports a statement was issued from an OCSO spokesman saying Todd turned himself into the police. The sheriff’s office had previously issued warrants for a fight he was allegedly involved with Sunday.
The alleged fight is presumed to have taken place at a house party and involved another male.
The OCSO has yet to release an official press release.
Head football coach Joe Moorhead addressed the situation.
“We are aware of the incident involving Reggie Todd,” Moorhead said. “Reggie has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities. We will have no further comment on this matter at this time.”
