Baseball player arrested on Domestic Violence charge

As first reported by the Starkville Daily News on Sept. 2, Luke Hancock, a freshman baseball player from Houston, Mississippi, was arrested the night of Sept. 1 for a domestic violence charge. Due to holiday on Monday, the open records request was not able to be filled until Tuesday.

According to a report obtained by an open records request from the City of Starkville, Hancock was accused of pushing, hitting and striking a female in the back of the head on Sept. 1. The act was committed on University Drive in Starkville. Hancock was later bonded out.

The Starkville Daily News also reported Hancock has been suspended indefinitely, according to an official release from MSU.
