• 3:07 p.m. A student reported turning on an oven containing something, which caused a small fire at Arbour Acres. The Starkville Fire Department cleared the scene.
• 7:14 p.m. The MSU police responded to someone breaking glass on Stuttle’s Hall top floor.
Friday, Feb. 27
• Midnight A student was arrested for speeding with a warrant on Lampkin Street.
• 12:09 a.m. The MSU police were dispatched to Rice Hall in reference to a possible disturbance outside the building.
• 1:48 a.m. A student was arrested and issued a student referral for possession of drug paraphernalia at Building 3.
• 2:20 a.m. A student was arrested for possession of stolen property at 21 Apartments.
• 11:21 a.m. A visitor reported receiving harassing phone calls on campus.
• 3:14 p.m. An employee reported lightning striking an electrical control panel causing a fire alarm to go off at the Forest Products Building.
Saturday, Feb. 28
• 1:04 a.m. A student was arrested for driving under the influence and careless driving on Highway 182.
• 9:06 a.m. The MSU police were dispatched to Walker Road in reference to a tree branch falling on a car.
• 4:52 p.m. A visitor was transported by ambulance to the Oktibbeha County Hospital after falling on the sidewalk at the Humphrey Coliseum.
