My name is Peyton Willoughby and I believe that the Student Association needs a Treasurer that can make the money matter. Our Treasurer should work diligently to ensure every dollar counts and utilize every opportunity to benefit the Student Association and all students. They should also, above all, be skilled and ethical in all of their conduct. Although this is a lofty ideal, I believe I possess the abilities and drive to make it happen as your Student Association Treasurer.
I am a double major in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration with real-world experience in accounting practices. Efficiency is my bread and butter, but I place a strong focus on working as a team in all situations. For these reasons and many more, you should trust my ability to address many issues including the following.
The student association has many inefficiencies in its operations that I hope to work on, such as increasing fundraising, addressing spending restrictions, and creating effective systems of resource allocation.
Additionally, restrictions regarding DEI have halted large amounts of funding that must be returned or sourced elsewhere. Through working with state legislatures or alumni funding, I intend to restore this funding.
