In response to the letter from Bill Atkinson, “MSU Football a waste of time, money.” I, too, am an MSU alumnus. I know very little about football. However, I do know enough to tell you that football is mainly about school spirit. Someone once said, “It is not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game.” Our coaches and players are putting their hearts and souls into building a better team. So, we are having a bad year, so what? Only six years ago, we were the SEC West Champions. We will always have both good and bad years. A true fan supports their team either way. If you do not like what is happening on the field, then do not go to the games. But if you can not say something nice about your alma mater, please do not say anything at all. To the coaches and players, know that there are many bulldogs that support you, win or lose.
