The Mississippi State women’s and men’s cross country teams finished second and third, respectively in the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Friday.
The women finished second in the 5K race with 63 points, finishing behind Tennessee who had 37.
Tiffany McWilliams once again paced the Bulldogs, finishing first overall in a time of 17:28.07 for her third win of the year. Meggan Hodge finished in 10th for the Bulldogs.
On the men’s side, MSU finished in third place in the 8K run with 87 points, finishing behind Alabama with 41 and Southern Illinois with 60.
Gedamu Ege was the top Bulldog finisher, finishing ninth with a time of 25:59.94.
Freshman Dustin Feir finished 12th for MSU. The Bulldog runners continue their season next week when both the men and women travel to South Bend, Ind. for the Notre Dame Invitational.
