Students who want to be involved in Mississippi State University’s student government, the Student Association, can pick up application forms for various positions from the SA office.
The applications, which include forms of intent for Senate, cabinet committee applications, and applications for Freshman Forum, became available Thursday.
According to the application, Senate forms of intent are due Sept. 1 by 5 p.m., and a mandatory candidates’ meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium on the third floor of The Union. A $15 application fee is due with the form.
Elections will be held Sept. 13, SA Vice President Cory Carter said. The first Senate meeting will take place Sept. 20. A retreat for the new senators will be held following their election.
