Mississippi State may be without its star for its most important game of the year.
Lawrence Roberts is listed as day-to-day after presumably pulling a muscle above his knee and at the bottom of his quadriceps in MSU’s loss to Kentucky Saturday night.
“We don’t know at this point,” Rick Stansbury said in his weekly teleconference when asked about the avaliablity of Roberts for Wednesday’s game at Georgia.
Stansbury said that Roberts will be re-evaluated today and a decision on his playing time will be made.
He also said that they do not expect ligament damage and Roberts does not have a broken kneecap as was first thought Saturday.
Stansbury said that he hasn’t decided on who would start in Roberts’ place should he be sidelined.
“We’ll have to evaluate and see,” Stansbury said. “There are just so many options.”
