I would like to thank the MSU community for the prayers, kindness and concern shown to my nephew T.C Rollins following his hum-vee accident in Iraq.
T.C will have an extended period of recovery before he will be able to return to classes at MSU. But each day he is getting stronger.
Another MSU student Aaron Rice was injured this week. Most of the young men and women that I saw at Bethesda are T.C and Aaron’s age.
These young men and women will continue to pay the price for freedom long after the war is over. It is important that their sacrifice is not forgotten.
When I visited with T.C. during Spring Break, each time that he received a card, call or letter from home his spirits were visibly lifted.
I would like to thank the university family for the “MSU Care Package,” e-mail and cards.
Our family would like to thank each of you for your concern and kindness.
Juanita Proffitt is a graduate of MSU.
