In an unanimous vote, the Mississippi Institutions Board of Trustees named USDA Undersecretary Mark Keenum the 19th Mississippi State University president.
Keenum took the podium, thanking every constituency group for attending the interview sessions.
“I’d like to thank the board for their vote of confidence to come back home,” Keenum said. “[My family and I] are looking forward to this challenge.”
IHL Board of Trustees President Amy Whitten said Keenum will take over in early January.
