The Mississippi State University volleyball squad swept the Texas A&M University Aggies this past weekend.
MSU came out hot in game one with a 3-0 sweep against the Aggies for a total of eight sweeps so far this season. Coach Julie Darty Dennis said the team did a great job communicating and staying in sync throughout all three sets.
“It was a really awesome, gritty win for us on the road tonight against a really good Texas A&M team. I am proud of our overall team effort and teamwork,” Dennis said. “Our passers did a great job communicating. We had service pressure from the start, we out-blocked and out-dug them. It was fun to watch all parts of our game. We were really in sync.”
Friday night inside Reed Arena, MSU secured their fifth consecutive win against the Aggies with the final set scores of 31-29, 25-18 and 25-22.
The Bulldogs showed out with a total of 67 digs, 53 kills, 49 assists and a .300 hitting percentage.
