Severe weather is expected to have passed through the Starkville area by approximately 3 p.m., according to Mississippi State University’s Crisis Action Team. The university’s Maroon Alert emergency information Web site indicated classes will resume at 3:30 p.m.
Students are urged to exercise caution as they travel to campus and be alert for changing conditions.
Officials are actively monitoring conditions and will provide updates throughout the afternoon.
City and campus damage reports are unavailable at this time.
The Reflector will also provide updates to students and Starkville residents as new information becomes available.
