The article “Hand-to-hoof combat skills” that ran in the Oct. 15 edition of The Reflector is an absolute disgrace to the paper and MSU.
Not only does it attempt to humorize (I think) what I believe is an unethical activity, but it states that the author killed two does. Bagging two deer in one day is illegal in Mississippi.
I don’t know what the intent is of this article, but it certainly does not promote the sport of hunting or wildlife conservation and is not humorous to those who participate in those activities.
If you intend to publish a legitimate “Field Notes” or outdoor column, you need to do much better than this.
