    Editor’s decisions motivated by race

Referring to Wilson Boyd’s April 6 opinion article “Editor explains decisions”, I am appalled with his decision making.
I was an opinion writer myself, and I know that there are some things we just don’t say.
Excuse me, I meant that there were some things Boyd would not let me say.
I know Boyd, and I know that all of the “same topic” articles would not have been printed if it was based on any other subject, but I guess since it was because Juan McCullum, a black person, was about to be our next Student Association president, Boyd decided to throw every bad article in there that anyone wrote. That is slander!
I understand what an opinion is and how far we should go with opinions. These “opinions” did not come about until there would be a runoff.
McCullum won the first time and would have won again, but people like Boyd did not want to see that happen.
Boyd can write back to the paper and do all of his fancy explanations, but in the end, it was wrong.
I have known Boyd personally for a while, and I guess some things never change.
