Thank you for printing Erin Clyburn’s Feb. 4 article. The Abraham seminar was a very informative event, and many organizations and people supported the Muslim Student Association in sponsoring this program.
The attendance was excellent and Ms. Clyburn’s article proves how important it is to promote interfaith programs. Only through knowledge can we remove ignorance.
I was impressed by Ms. Clyburn’s candor and sincerity. I have lived in the Starkville/ MSU area for over 30 years and have always found this community to be wonderful.
It is only for the last few years that I have experienced “witnessing” by well-meaning people. I have never minded having an informative debate or discussion with anyone regarding religion, but I have felt offended when people try to remove one of the most important things to me and about me-my faith.
I agree with Erin-tolerance is the best attribute of a belief system.
