Textbooks stolen at McCool Monday

A Monday night burglary at McCool Hall left multiple textbooks stolen and Mississippi State University Police looking for burglars.
MSU Police Chief Georgia Lindley said there are no suspects at the moment, but MSU Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Lindley said the burglary is believed to have happened between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m, while the first floor doors were unlocked.
Lindley said offices were broken into on the third floor and multiple textbooks were stolen. The thieves used an implement to force open the doors.
Lindley said she urges faculty and staff to be aware of their surroundings and watch for suspicious activity.
“Keep your doors locked, report suspicious people or activity in the building and keep a close eye on your belongings,” she said.
Lindley said, if anyone notices belongings missing, to report it to the MSU Police Department.
MSU Police are still investing the burglary and are asking anyone with more information to contact the MSU Police Department at 325-2121.
