“I have a rotation of probably three pairs of shorts I wear for tours,” said Bella Nichols, a senior fashion design and merchandising major. “But these are my most fun pair.”
Nichols, who serves as a Roadrunner, wore the ruffled shorts on Spring Preview Day, when nearly 3,000 visitors came to campus—the largest turnout in university history.
She paired the shorts with a Roadrunner polo and a pair of silver sneakers.
“I usually have one sneaker each semester that I wear for all my tours,” she said. “Right now, it’s these New Balance shoes. Before that, it was a pair of Adidas.”
Nichols has served as a Roadrunner since 2024. Looking back, she said the role has meant more than just leading campus tours.
“Students are picking a college, and that’s such an exciting time,” Nichols said. “It’s really a privilege to help them navigate through that.”
