Those lucky enough to have witnessed LaToya Thomas play for the Mississippi State Lady Bulldgos will remember the day she hit 2,500.
After losing a heartbreaker to South Carolina three days prior, the Lady Bulldogs
picked up a huge win Sunday against Vanderbilt at home 78-75.
The win over Vandy was only MSU’s third in 20 years.
Already having surpassed Jeff Malone as MSU’s all-time leading scorer in women’s
and men’s basketball, Thomas added another milestone on top of the Lady Dawg’s
huge win against the Lady Commodores Sunday by raising her career total to 2,521.
Thomas has 13 regular season games remaining and need 479 points to reach the nearly
unattainable mark of 3,000.
