Mississippi State University’s Joe Frank Sanderson Center is offering a week-long pass from Feb. 24 until March 2 designed to encourage Mississippi State staff to become members.
Those interested can signup at the Sanderson Center’s welcome desk Feb. 24 only.
“The Sanderson Center’s ‘Get to Know Us’ week is part of the University’s Professional and Support Staff Council’s ‘Health Smart’ program,” Patrik Nordin, assistant director for the Sanderson Center, said.
“As part of the Health Smart program, the Sanderson Center’s fitness director, Greg Altorfer, will be giving a presentation on the health benefits of regular exercise,” Nordin said.
The Sanderson Center will hold this presentation on Feb. 24 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The week-long pass is to promote ‘Health Smart’ program’s exercise week.
“Recreational Sports is offering a free pass good for one week to faculty and staff of the university,” Nordin said.
“It is our hope that this free week will give the faculty and staff who have never been to the Sanderson Center an opportunity to get know us better and ultimately take advantage of what we have to offer them by becoming members,” Nordin stated.
Although the “get to know us pass” is only good for the ‘Health Smart’ program’s exercise week, anyone interested in obtaining a membership at the Sanderson Center can do so at any time.
