The Mississippi State University men’s golf team concluded play Tuesday at the Mason Rudolph Golf Championships. The Bulldogs ended 10-over par, which betters their finish in last year’s tournament by eight strokes. Host Vanderbilt University takes the team-win at 29-under par.
Codie Mudd (70-69-70=209) and Kellen Maurer (71-71-67=209) moved up a couple of notches to ninth place to lead MSU.
Sophomore Joe Deraney shot a career-high 69 in the second round to finish the tourney at three-over par.
Vanderbilt’s Brandt Snedeker was the medallist at 12-under par (65-68-65=198).
Mississippi State will be in action next at the Purina Classic in St. Charles, Mo., (Missouri Bluffs Course) October 7-8.
