The Bible Factory Outlet opened a Starkville location in December with the mission to “glorify God by distributing products that minister, inspire and encourage” their customers.
The national chain, which boasts stores in 19 states, holds its headquarters in Albertville, Ala. It is the main outlet-based retailer of Bibles, religious and inspirational books, music and gifts in the United States. Bible Factory Outlet is located in the 911 Main Street Shopping Center on Miss. Highway 12 across from Wal-Mart.
“We’re very excited about offering a Christian retailing presence in Starkville,” said Bill Simmons, president of the Bible Factory Outlet retail chain. “Area shoppers will now be able to benefit from our vast selection of quality Christian resources at discount prices up to 75 percent off original retail.”
Denise Freeman, manager of the Starkville store, said residents have anticipated a Christian bookstore opening for a long time.
“The store is in a good area and serves as a major convenience for college students who seek Christian literature and resources,” said pastor Jason L. Williams, a Starkville resident.
“We’ve had customers to come in from Jackson, Tupelo and Columbus to shop at our store,” Freeman said.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
