The Avett Brothers will headline this year’s Bulldog Bash, which takes place Nov. 11.
Bulldog Bash will also feature country singer Jake Owen, Motown and several localized bands that have not yet been announced, Rhett Hobart, Student Association president, said.
“We are really excited to get a band like this,” he said.
Hobart said the selection of the band was based on feedback from MSU students, who submitted over 600 suggestions via Twitter and email.
Bulldog Bash was originally scheduled to take place in October but was changed to allow the Avett Brothers to headline, instead of a second choice band, Hobart said.
“We wanted to get the best band possible, so it was necessary for us to move the date to do that,” he said.
The concert will begin at 5 p.m. and is free.
