Former Maroon and White winner Lauren Cobb passed on her crown Thursday night in Lee Hall Auditorium to junior communication major Kalea Henry. The pageant is in it’s fifth year of function and was created by CAB, its sponsor, as a fundraiser for the group. Henry was one of fifty girls to compete for the coveted title. First runner up was Joy Powell, second runner up was Anne Elise Parks, third runner up was Sarah Powers and fourth runner up was natalie Bullard.
The top 15 contestants included: Rachel Hughes, Sara Powers, Alle Elise Parks, Claire Digre, Kalea Henry, Sydney Beolles, Meagan Holaday, Danielle Smith, Brittany Brewer, Avery Robinson, Chelsey Penson, Justine Couvillion, Joy Powell, Holly Butler and Natalie Bullard.
The pageant, which began at 7 p.m., was hosted by the reigning Miss MSU, Corie Tucker. Special entertainment included the 2008 MSU Idol, Sarah Pope and various acts from Dancing Feet Academy.
