With the Golden Globes and the Grammys airing over these past few weeks, and the Oscars coming up on Sunday, awards season is in full swing. 
Here’s a rundown of the categories and nominees with which I hope you will go forth to the movie theatre and make your predictions. And if you can’t catch all of the films in theatres or at the Redbox, The Washington Post has assembled this handy trailer treasure trove to at least give you a taste of each of the nominees.
“Birdman” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” dominate the list, both securing nine nominations each. “The Imitation Game,” “Boyhood,” and “American Sniper” also seem to be favorites of the Academy, with eight and six nods each, respectively.
