In response to the new campus master plan article, I think that the idea of moving cars to the perimeter and pedestrians and bikers to the interior is admirable, provided that the shuttle buses are able to operate rapidly.
If the traffic at Malfunction Junction is changed to a round-about, then will that intersection be pedestrian friendly?
Without a stop light there won’t be any way to stop traffic, and pedestrians may take a greater risk crossing these roads than with the red light, crosswalks and buttons that stop traffic.
