“To be completely honest, I can’t even believe this is real life right now,” said Bella Ruth Steward, MSU’s newest Homecoming Queen.
The results of the 2025 Homecoming and Senate fall elections were announced Tuesday night. It is reported that 4,818 students cast their votes in the election.
Bella Ruth Steward was named Homecoming Queen with 1,078 votes – 22.37% of the vote, while Jeffrey Johnson was named Homecoming King with 2,650 votes – 55% of the vote.
“This is just a dream come true,” Johnson said.

Sneha Cherukuri was chosen as Miss MSU, and August Jones was chosen as Mr. MSU in an application and interview process.

Homecoming maids for each classification were also announced. Similar to Mr. and Miss MSU, applicants are chosen through an application and interview process.

The homecoming court is set to be recognized at halftime in Davis Wade Stadium as the Bulldogs play Texas on Oct. 25.
The results for student organization Senators were also announced tonight. Many seats ran empty or unopposed; however, Freshman, Shackouls Honors College, and Political and Activism Organization Senator seats were highly contested races.
