Mississippi State University will celebrate its 133rd birthday today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in The Junction.
According to Jimmy Abraham, director of the MSU Alumni Association, the party was originally scheduled for Monday, but due to the possibility of precipitation, the party was postponed until today.
Hamburgers, chips, soft drinks, ice cream and MSU birthday cake will be served starting at 11 a.m. There will also be entertainment provided by local band Big Poppa Strang. Free MSU birthday T-shirts will also be available.
“We want as many faculty, staff, students and firends as possible to join us for MSU’s 133rd birthday party,” Abraham said. “Mississippi State has much to celebrate and there is no better way to do this than for our Bulldog family to gather together on this very special occasion.”
