After two rounds of three round Bryan National Collegiate in the books, the tournament co-hosted by Wake Forest University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro was shortened due to rain.
The Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs finished in 16th place with a combined score of 628. MSU fired a 315 in the first round and improved in the second round with a 313. The Lady Linksters finished three strokes behind SEC West rival, Louisiana State.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by freshman Sofie Andersson, who fired a 153 total. Anna Knutsson finished three strokes behind Andersson. Beth Irwin finished with a 159 and tied for 63rd. Sophomore Janet Dyer was one stroke back of Irwin in a tie for 69th and Catalina Olarte finished the tournament in 84th position alone.
Defending tournament and National Champion, Duke took top team honors with a total team score of 580. SEC foes Vanderbilt and Georgia rounded out the top spots.
The tournament medallist was Nuria Clau of Wake Forest. Clau won the tiebreaker over Kristy McPherson of South Carolina and Courtney and May Wood of Vanderbilt.
The Lady Bulldogs will compete in the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic April 4-6 in Baton Rouge.
